I wish I wasn't so shy...

Well, i'm a guy, and when I feel shy about talking to someone I find that the best way to do it is to be in a good mood (that gives me a moderate confidence boost) and know how i'm going to start the conversation by knowing what i'm going to talk about. Other than that, it's just having the willpower to force myself to start the conversation. When i've started the conversation it just starts flowing. I might still awkwardly fidget, but at least i'm in the flow of talking. I'd say that as you get to know him better you'll both start feeling more comfortable talking to each other because you'll get a better idea of each other's personalities so you'll be more able to talk without worrying about the other person's opinions on what you're saying, and generally feel more comfortable about it. Since u always have awkward silences write a list of the things u could talk about when ur alone and once ur confident that you'll have a nice convo with him find excuses for u to be alone with him. The more your alone, the more he'll notice how awesome u r:)
